Ninty one year old Vollis Simpson retired long ago. The artisan didn't want to sit in front of the TV all day, so he decided to build elaborate windmills, he calls Whirligigs. Not just one or two, but a field full. His work has been shown at the Olympics in Atlanta 1996, and the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. But here in Lucama, North Carlolina, it's Whirligig central.
