If Oil Ran Out Tomorrow

Monday on the National Geographic Channel. The end of the world as we know it, in one night.

Havoc is coming. I have a feeling the first part of the evening is going to be similar to the show that ran on the Discovery Channel last year, "Life After People", about what would happen to the Earth if people were to suddenly vanish. That show gave a timeline of how the planet would deteriorate and then be reclaimed by nature if humans weren't there to add their contribution.

Well, it appears now Nat. Geo. is doing some thing similar. The only difference is they're adding a little extra. In one evening, they'll run "Aftermath: Population Zero",  along with what sounds like an interesting second hour long show sandwiched in there. What would we do if all the oil in the world would suddenly dissapear.

Aftermath: World Without Oil will air Monday evening on the National Geographic Channel. Have I seen it? Nope. Sorry, no review. But I will tell you looking at the clip they have on the website, it looks like it might be an hour of mayhem.

Considering that most everything we do has some connection to oil, I think there will be a lot of rioting, looting, robbery. Should be a fun hour. I don't know, but I'll bet there is a message about switching to alternative energy in there somewhere.

The end of everything we've grown to love starts at 8PM Monday. Here's a clip.
