So, what to do if you're impatient?

Although there has not been word 1 coming from Apple about the expected tablet that will / should / maybe be introduced on January 27th... or maybe not. That hasn't stopped the hopeful to get an early peek.

Gawker.com is offering up to a $100,000 prize for pictures, video, or for the grand prize, the ability of Gawker staff to play with the tablet for an hour.

Called the Apple Tablet Scavenger Hunt, they are going to great lengths to keep potential winners names secret, saying  "We'll go to spycraft-level lengths to prevent anything being traced back to you."

I suppose if you're a disgruntled Apple employee, which seems unlikely, or a Chinese supplier with low morals, the temptation may be overwhelming. I wish only the best for Gawker, but in all honesty, I hope they're not successful, I want to wait. Nothing like a new product being introduced by his Steveness.
